Admission System

The 2012 Master’s Program in Community Development is recruiting according to the two categories of admission systems mentioned below.

  1. Admission System by Ordinary Examination
  2. Admission System for Members of Society

Application Qualification

(1) Admission System by Ordinary Examination
Applicant Qualification
[Spring Semester Admission I & II]
Applicants must satisfy one of the following requirements:
  • to have graduated from a university/college or be expected to graduate by the end of March 2012
  • to have obtained or be expected to obtain a bachelor’s degree by the end of March 2012 from the National Institution for Academic Degrees and University Evaluation
  • to have completed or be expected to complete 16 years of formal education abroad by the end of March 2012
  • to have been nominated by the Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology
  • to have been recognized as having an ability equivalent or superior to a university graduate through the Individual Assessment for University Graduation Equivalency provided by the Graduate School of Community Development, and to be 22 years of age or older

[Fall Semester Admission]
Applicants must satisfy one of the following requirements:
  • to have graduated from a university/college or be expected to graduate by the end of September 2012
  • to have obtained or be expected to obtain a bachelor’s degree by the end of September 2012 from the National Institution for Academic Degrees and University Evaluation

Applicant Qualification

Applicants must satisfy all of the following requirements:
  • to satisfy the qualification for the Ordinary Examination
  • to have more than three years of work experience at the time of application
  • to have been recognized by the President of Tokiwa University as having a clear research plan complying with the curricula of the Graduate School of Community Development as well as a strong will to accomplish the research
