Department of Career Development and Liberal Arts

The Department of Career Development and Liberal Arts was newly established in April 2003 with the merging of the former Departments of Liberal Arts and Management Information. Responding to the needs of contemporary society and the business world, the department trains students in the development of cultural standards and intellectual awareness. In addition, it emphasizes the mastery of professional skills required in a student’s chosen career, in particular the acquisition of practical skills in the use of computer applications and information processing.

The department offers the following three tracks:

Career-Oriented Liberal Arts

Practical office operation skills and the development of cultural standards and intellectual awareness.

Business Management

A wide range of business management skills and the study of management, accounting and related disciplines.

Office Information

Information-oriented office operation skills, including skills to become a programmer, system engineer or PC user.

Graduates of this department can obtain professional qualifications and certifications as librarians, senior secretaries, senior business specialists, senior information processors and presentation specialists.
