Asian Postgraduate Course

NOTICE: Applications are no longer being accepted for the Asian Postgraduate Course as the course seats have been filled to capacity. The WSV and the Tokiwa International Victimology Institute (TIVI) will jointly host the 9th Asian Postgraduate Course on Victimology and Victim Assistance in tandem with the 13th International Symposium on Victimology. This exciting course aims to provide an opportunity for anyone who is interested in learning about the field of Victimology from leading victimologists and victim service experts in a compact two week course. The course is conducted in English. The two week course includes the participation in the symposium as the second week and the certificate awarding ceremony.

Course Details and Requirements
To receive the Certificate of Completion for the Asian Postgraduate Course:
a) During the first week, students have to attend all of the lectures provided.
b) During the symposium (the second week of the course), students are required to attend all plenary sessions. Students are also required to attend workshops/paper presentations of their own choosing during all of the planned session periods and submit a one-page hand written summary for each session attended.
c) Students are required to prepare a five-minute presentation on a proposal for a victim services project chosen by the student based on his or her interest. All students must attend all student presentations. Presentations will be made at the end of the course (August 28-29).
d) Students are also required to submit a written paper of their project (size 12 font, Times New Roman, double-spaced, 8 pages).
