Registration Information

Online registration has been closed.

 

Participants are asked to apply using the online registration form linked below. Participants who register early (until 1 May 2009) receive a discount from the standard registration fee. Discounted fees are also available to registered full-time students** and to participants from countries on the World Bank’s list of Low and Lower Middle-Income Economies.* Details about registration fees can be found below.

 

Special note: The WSV Members’ fee is applicable only if you are a member of WSV at the time of registration. The fee will not be applied if you become a member of WSV after registering for the symposium. Single-day Symposium Registration Includes

  • A name badge

  • Attendance to all regular sessions on the day of attendance
  • Participation in the mid-week Site Visits (*Only if in attendance on Wed. Aug. 26)
  • Lunch on the day of attendance (* only Monday, Aug. 24 – Thursday, Aug. 27)
  • Refreshments during breaks between sessions

*Attendance to the Symposium Banquet is not included in the single-day registration fee.

The Asian Postgraduate Course

Applications are no longer being accepted for the Asian Postgraduate Course as the course seats have been filled to capacity. Interested participants can inquire at apgctivi@tokiwa.ac.jp about the possibility of being put on a waiting list being created in the event that any cancellations arise.

Confirmation

Upon receiving the registration and confirming the payment, the Registration Office will send you a confirmation e-mail bearing your registration number. Please print out the confirmation e-mail and present it at the registration desk at the symposium site when you arrive.

 

 

Cancellation Policy

If you wish to cancel your registration and receive reimbursement for your registration fee, you must send written notification of your cancellation to the Registration Office. Refunds will be made according to the guidelines outlined below. All refunds will be made after the Symposium.

 

Amount of refund:

Until June 30, 2009 : 80% of amount paid
 (minus bank handling charge)
July 1, 2009 through July 31, 2009 : 50% of amount paid
 (minus bank handling charge)
From August 1, 2009 : No refund

 

 

Regarding Proof of Payment

You can request an invoice by contacting the ISV2009 Registration Office at isv2009_reg@ics-inc.co.jp. Unless otherwise requested, sales receipts will be presented upon registration check-in at the symposium. If you would like to request a sales receipt beforehand, you can also do so by contacting the Registration Office at the email address provided above. Please note that while invoices can be issued immediately, actual sales receipts cannot be sent until your card payment/ bank transfer is finalized and payment has been confirmed. (This may take 4-6 weeks depending on the credit card company).

 

 

Visa Information

Visa Support has been closed.

 

To visit Japan, you must have a valid passport. A visa is required for citizens of countries that do not have visa-exempt agreements with Japan. Please check the Ministry of Foreign Affairs website to see whether or not you will need to apply for a visa and to obtain procedural details about how to apply for visa application. For specific information about visa and other entry requirements for your country, please contact your nearest Japanese Embassy.
