Course Outline
All classes will be conducted in English. The classes will be from 9:30 to 16:30. Special events will include: a reception party, a Mito sightseeing trip (including a visit to a "Koban" Police Box, Kairakuen Park (one of three famous parks in Japan) and a Traditional Tea Ceremony), a day-long sightseeing trip on the middle Sunday, a field trip to the Ibaraki police headquarters, a farewell party and a graduation ceremony. Persons may attend two weeks, one week or only one day; however, priority will be given to the two-week participants, so-called “Certificate Students.” Two-week Certificate Students must make a 20 minute presentation based on their proposal for a victim service program of their interest at the end of the course. Details will be explained on the first day of the course (Aug. 2). Persons wanting to attend the course for any length of time should register to get on a waiting list starting immediately, as decisions will be based on a first come first serve basis.
