参加要件 Criteria for the Course

We welcome the participation of the persons who satisfy the following three criteria:

  1. 1. Persons who understand, read and write English.
  2. 2. Persons who are able to pay all the expenses involved in participating in the course, such as the round-trip travel expenses to Mito, lodging and registration fee (below) prior to the start of the course:

  3. 3. Persons who meet one of the following qualifications:
    1. a) University graduates or professionals who are interested in Victimology;
    2. b) Persons who are working in victim-related fields. (e.g., full-time/part-time staff for victim assistance groups, police officers, lawyers, counselors, and so on.); or
    3. c) University seniors who are formally part of a victimology seminar or have taken basic victimology courses.

NOTES:

  1. 1. All participants from abroad shall be required to send us the following documents at the time of registration via e-mail (apgctivi@tokiwa.ac.jp) as attached files or express mail:

    1. 1) a copy of the ID card issued by the organization which you belong to.
    2. 2) a recommendation letter baring an official letterhead written by a responsible person of your organization and including his/her full contact address such as e-mail, telephone and fax, and postal address. (For students this would be your major professor.)
  2. 2.In addition to the above, all those who need to obtain a visa from from Japanese embassy/consulate to enter Japan are required to send the following:

    1. 1) a visa support application form
    2. 2) a copy of your passport (pages showing the passport No., passport holder’s details and photograph)
    3. 3) another recommendation letter baring an official letterhead written by the headmaster/principal/ president/vice-chancellor of the educational institution from which you graduated lastly or in which you are currently enrolled. The letter should include the full contact address mentioned above in it.

      The deadline for your visa support application is June 25, 2010. It will normally take two weeks from this date until you receive our invitation letter along with all other necessary documents for your visa procedures. The length of the time for the issuance of your visa depends on the policies of Japanese embassy or consulate in your country. Your exact postal address is needed.

  3. 3. The registration fee, once received, shall be reimbursed only if you communicate your intent to cancel by July 25.
  4. 4. Any discount of the registration fee is not acceptable for any reason.
  5. 5. All the personal information we collect shall be carefully treated by the TIVI in accordance with the Privacy Policy of Tokiwa University, and shall be used only for purposes relating to management of the course.
