Users' Guide

Office Hours

• Week days during semester: from 10:00 to 19:00
• Week days during other periods: from 9:00 to 17:00

Closed

• ・Every Saturday, Sunday, National holiday and January 25
• ・Closed during the New Year holidays (generally the last week of December and the first week of January)
• ・Closed during the summer holidays (generally the second week of August)
• ・Temporary closures shall be announced two weeks in advance on the TIVI Calendar (see above)

Stored Books and Reference Materials

Approximately 1500 books and 15 kinds of academic journal and periodicals are stored within the TIVI library.

How to use the materials in the TIVI library

Removing or checking out (borrowing) any books or materials from TIVI is not permitted. Users may photocopy the desired material from books using the guidelines outlined below.

Using the TIVI copy machine

There is a copy machine available for use in the TIVI library for all users. Copies are 10 yen per sheet.

Rules for all users

1. ・Please respect the TIVI study/work atmosphere. If you must speak, please speak softly.
2. ・Smoking is prohibited in all of the TIVI facilities.
3. ・Eating and drinking is prohibited in the TIVI library.
4. ・All users are required to treat all TIVI reference materials and other property with great care and return anything borrowed or used to its original position after use.
5. ・If any materials are lost, damaged or dirtied, the user(s) responsible is(are) required to compensate for the damage or loss by reimbursing the TIVI in full for the cost of the material’s original purchase.
6. ・All cellular phones must be set to “Silent” or “Vibrate” mode or turned off while in the TIVI.
