Department of Nursing

Tokiwa University, working together with the Mito Medical Center, has established a nursing program committed to producing the next generation of nursing professionals. A portion of general and major-specific coursework is conducted alongside students from the Faculty of Human Science and the Faculty of Management and Administration. In addition to acquiring nursing expertise and skills, students will strengthen their ability to work in teams, developing the flexibility required to meet the diverse needs of the healthcare industry and contribute to tackling health issues faced by local communities.

Department Highlights

  1. Students learn about increasingly important community-based integrated care systems, setting the foundation to become nurses capable of supporting the growth of healthy communities.

  2. On-site coursework at the Mito Medical Center is based at the adjacent Sakuranosato Nursing School campus, providing an optimal environment to learn.

  3. Our curriculum approaches nursing studies systematically - incorporating fundamental and advanced studies, while also taking into account our students’ development of knowledge and stressing continuous study of each subject over the duration of the program.
